Telemetry Traffic Counts and Vehicle Classification data now available

The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) released the Telemetry Traffic Counts and Vehicle Classification dataset on Thursday 23 July 2026.

This new dataset provides aggregated vehicle counts collected from telemetry-enabled traffic monitoring locations across Victoria, offering valuable insights into traffic volumes, travel patterns and vehicle movements on the road network.

The dataset contains vehicle count information along with a range of supporting attributes, including:
