The Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has transitioned the 'Unplanned Disruption - Road - v1' API into a new version: ‘Unplanned Disruption – Road – v2’.
- This data feed is openly available to developers for integration into third-party apps that can provide users with information on unplanned disruptions on Victorian roads.
- This update replaces the existing source system with the Road Incident Database (RID), a modernised system offering significant improvements. These enhancements will flow to downstream consumers, allowing them to access clearer disruption information and facilitate more accurate navigation.
- DTP will be supporting both versions of the API for a limited period, providing developers with sufficient time to test the v2 API before migrating across.
Please visit the Unplanned disruptions page to access the development documentation and API.
DTP is committed to continuously improving existing datasets and releasing new information to support the Victorian Government's Open Data policy and objectives.
