The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has released a new dataset called "Transport Mode Pictograms" to Open Data. It contains the image files of the standard Transport Mode symbols that our Department uses in its own PTV app and publications. These symbols can be used in other apps, products, and projects for a consistent experience across Victoria.

Modal pictograms are used as a key identifier of the transport network across Victoria. They specifically assist in identifying modes of transport in digital and physical channels e.g. journey planners, train stations, bus and tram stops.

Based on external feedback, this newly released dataset will support new and existing Open Data users including Councils, Research Institutions, and Businesses. DTP is continuing to demonstrate its commitment to continuously improve existing datasets and release new information to support the State Government's Open Data policy and objectives.
