Counting cars, trucks and motorbikes

The Department of Transport and Planning has released the TIRTL Traffic Counts and Vehicle Classification dataset for open data users.

This dataset provides aggregated counts of vehicles recorded at selected locations across Victoria. It shows how many vehicles are travelling, what type they are, and when they were recorded.

The dataset includes information such as:

• date and time
• direction of travel
• vehicle type
• speed
• location.

This data can help businesses, researchers and planners to better understand traffic patterns and vehicle movements across Victoria.
