Vicmap is consolidating and migrating its web service offerings to streamline access and improve performance. As a result, some URL endpoints will be changing and current endpoints will be discontinued by 30 June 2025.
What's changing?
Vicmap as a Service (VaaS) will have updated URL endpoints:
- https://delwp.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html
- https://services6.arcgis.com/
- https://vicmap.land.vic.gov.au/hosting/rest/services
- https://enterprise.mapshare.vic.gov.au/
Websites and applications using these URLs will be impacted, such as Digtial Twin Victoria. Dependent functions such as story maps will need to be recreated after this migration is implemented.
What's NOT changing?
These services will be unaffected:
- Vicmap Basemaps (a licensed product; fees apply)
- Vicmap Address Validation API (restricted to Victorian Government users)
- Vicmap open data available on DataVic
- Datashare
Vicmap restricted services (Vicmap Image+ and Vicmap Elevation 1m DEM) are not affected by this change.
