Data from the City of Casey Open Data Exchange is now available on DataVic

It's the second in our series of local government integrations. More Victorian council data is coming soon.

Metadata from the City of Casey Open Data Exchange is now harvested daily. We've scheduled more council integrations over the coming months.

This open data includes near real-time data from sensors distributed throughout the City of Casey. It includes:

  • hourly pedestrian counting and the location of LoRaWaN Gateways
  • traditional open data such as Pet Registrations
  • a Register of Building Notices and Building Orders.

City of Casey is committed to taking action on climate change. Council is developing a Climate Action Plan with the community. Their aim is to set greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy targets to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. They also provide data on greenhouse gas emissions from electricity and gas used in residential households in the City of Casey.
