  • API access to confirm liquor licenses

    Closed SUGGESTED 22 July 2016
We have clients who are wine distributors and producers, and it would be great if we could automatically validate retail customers via their liquor license when they fill in their online account application forms.

  • Hourly Temperatures and Climate Information

Escalated to Data Owner SUGGESTED 8 July 2016
Historical data containing hourly climate data from major weather stations across Australia is very valuable when investigating a wide variety of issues. The information is currently available on the Bureau of Meteorology web site but only for the previous three days.

  • Concordance or lookup tables

Review in progress SUGGESTED 7 July 2016
There are no lookup and concordance tables on the site (that are obvious) to translate between different geographic levels. For example, a concordance table to translate from postcode to SA2, or from SLA to LGA. Obviously these boundaries aren't all defined by the Victorian Government, but much of your data has a geographic dimension, and lookup/concordance tables are an important tool for enabling this. In particular, concordance to Victoria in Future Small Areas would be helpful.

  • Victorian School Locations 2008 - 2016

Escalated to Data Owner SUGGESTED 29 June 2016
It is great to have the current school locations (https://www.data.vic.gov.au/data/dataset/school-locations-2016) but there is a not insignificant number of schools that change each year. I would like to be able to access the list of schools for each year (at least 2008-2016) so that I can determine what changes are occurring and to be able to select schools that have existed in each of these years for longitudinal study.

  • Neighbourhood Safer Places

    Closed SUGGESTED 28 June 2016
Spatial location data for CFA Neighbourhood Safer Places. This data is required for Bushfire Hazard Landscape Assessment Plans and would also aid in household bushfire planning. Existing data available from CFA website is not very helpful as suburbs need to be searched for individually. http://www.saferplaces.cfa.vic.gov.au/cfa/search/default.htm

  • EPA air quality data readings and index

Review in progress SUGGESTED 18 June 2016
You can see a current hourly reading here: http://apps.epa.vic.gov.au/air/bulletins/aqbhour.asp?fl=-1 And you can manually navigate to any previous hour/day/month/year but the EPA don't publish the complete dataset nor do they seem to provide an API for accessing this dataset. Providing this as yearly and monthly dumps to CSV files would be fairly simple I'd imagine.

  • Historical Planning Scheme Data

    SUGGESTED 2 June 2016
Hi, we were hoping to obtain historical planning scheme data dating back to mid-2003. In particular land use zones and the urban growth boundary. We understand that this data is currently available in pdf format through government websites. We are specifically interested in when the Urban Growth Boundary changed. Thanks Michael
